A Tiny Game of Pong App Reviews

I want to love this. Seems like a great idea! But fails for me on two levels: 1) horrible lag & brutal animation frame rate. (You loose because the game freezes, not because of lack of skill.) 2) the game is played on a vertical rotating control, which moves a paddle horizontally? What a strange decision. The original pong was horizontal. Im not sure what drove this choice to miss out on a naturally mapped vertical animation & game play on a the Digital Crown. Hopefully the speed issues can be rectified & the option to play with the ball bouncing left & right added. Combine these with multiplayer support & youll have the watches Killer App!

Finally a fun and entertaining game to play for the Apple watch!

Ive been looking for a fun, simple game for the Watch, so I loved the idea of this App. Unfortunately, the animation frame rate is really low and lags constantly. Also, its seems much more intuitive to have the paddles positioned on the left and right of the screen. I understand that the there is more playable space having the paddles at the top and bottom, but using the vertical motion of the digital crown to control a left and right moving object is a strange experience. I really hope something is done to fix the lag, because this could easily become one of my favourite things to use on Watch.

If you have an Apple Watch, this game is a must have!

Might be great but they force you to review, purchase in app and log into Game Center in order to play. Nope

I absolutely love this game. If I just need to kill a minute or two I can look down and start playing Pong on my watch. My only issue is that notifications interrupt your game, and either make you miss the ball or itll cause the paddle to lag and miss the ball. Outside of that. Great game!

This tiny game really uses the Apple Watch interface in a great way. Its simple and fun. The only thing I could ask for would be more colors for the ball and paddles and more gamemodes.

This is awesome! I love Pong, and this is an awesome throwback! One suggestion, though, would be to switch the game board to go side-to-side, so that the Digital Crown can be a little more of a direct representation of movement.

Game is so slow on the Apple Watch, like 10FPS. Its unplayable.

I dont get why the paddles dont move vertically. Would be better with the crown. Plus original pong is vertical anyways.

This is like the best game for the Apple Watch so far! Would be cool if the developer made more of this mini games!

Honestly one of the best games for the Apple Watch due to its simplicity and how well it uses the crown to its advantage. The only problem I have with the game is that sometimes the ball and AI lag slightly. Not sure if its the Watchs limitation or the game itself is not fully optimized.

The app is very well suited for Apple Watch and the haptics add to the gameplay. However, it is very glitchy and the themes shouldnt be a paid item.

Great implementation, but a few issues: - motion isnt smooth. Paddle and ball often stutter - crown rotation is vertical but paddle motion is horizontal, and therefore unintuitive. I would like the option to rotate the field by 90 degrees, and have my paddle on the right side moving vertically with the crown - haptic feedback feels slightly delayed from when the ball hits the paddle
